For me Evil Dead 2013 was the best. It took what was a horror comedy concept and turned it into something seriously scary. Evil Dead II was my introduction to this series, so it holds a special place for me. I also enjoyed Rise. I haven't watched the TV show but image it is mostly camp.

Evil Dead 2013 was fucking fantastic! Great horror all around.

The original was released in 1980. It's obvious by looking at it that it was filmed in the late 70's early 80's lol
So 1983 doesn't make any sense.

I've been consistently meh with 2013's movie. I like the make-up fx...and that's about it.

The original's release date likes to bounce around, it's really annoying lol. I think I've seen it go as 1981 as well on several dvd editions.

This sounds similar to what has happened with Frightmare (aka The Horror Star) released in 1981 yet in the last decade or so it gets consistently moved to 1983.
