I have not seen the film yet. TBH I will probably wait for streaming due to lack of time. But I have been hearing good things so far.
I do ask that everyone avoid spoilers out of respect for those of us who haven't seen it yet.

I do like that this seems to be focusing on Adult Spidy instead of teenage version. I really got feud up with that teen Peter shit from the previous films. Also from he trailer it looks like he's mutating or something, so this could be a big twist.

I am still hoping we finally get Eddie Brock in the MCU at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later.
And Ned becoming the Hobgoblin.

Given that there's been multiple Hobgoblins, I suspect Ned won't be one of them. BUT, they co I ldvsteer the path if that's what they wanna do, I just won't expect it.

Who was the original Hobgloblin?

Roderick Kingsley is the original Hobgoblin. Ned is someone brainwashed into becoming Hobgoblin, and looks like he was the 3rd in line.

I'm planning to take my youngest to see it this weekend.

Just saw it last night. I think that I prefer the odd numbered entries in the MCU Spider-Man series so far. There was a lot here that I would have liked on paper but ultimately didn't really matter. My biggest issue is the big twist villain and nothing about them making sense here. I'm glad I saw the movie but I don't see myself returning to it... maybe I should give Far From Home another watch sometime...

I've watched it twice now.

I liked it best of the four MCU Spider-Mans so far. I had no issues with the villain or the threat we thought was the villain (because that's just the door opening for something else finally), but I do feel the absence of a major Spider-Man villain in these movies that actually has to deal directly with Spider-Man. Sucks that the first two dealt with villains who had grudges against *yawn* Stark, and the 3rd movie just used villains from the previous separate movies, and here we get a minor baddie (minor but still sets up a domino effect if I predict correctly). Yet it *felt* more like a Spidey movie than the previous three, which is what I really enjoyed about this one.

Still no Spider-Man 2.

I still have not seen the new one.

But my biggest issue with the MCU Spider-Man in general was how they

1) Skipped his backstory

2) The Tony Stark connection and him making Peter's suit which just pissed me off.

3) The fake MJ. I mean where is the real Mary Jane Watson?

4) Same as you... there's not really been a true bad ass villain yet. I appreciated The Vulture and Keaton's performance but it's always felt underwhelming.

I like Tom and his performance as a younger version of the Spider-Man character. But his version is my least favorite of the three.
